Konecranes Global Corporation Sues Mode Tech (Beijing) Co., Ltd To Enjoin Sales or Attempted Sales of Mode V6, Again (Oct. 19, 2018, United States District Court for District of Nevada)

The plaintiff, Konecranes Global Corporation (“Konecranes”), licensed under the laws of Finland is a subsidiary of Konecranes Plc, “a publicly traded company that designs, manufactures, and sells [heavy-duty] lifting equipment” worldwide. The defendant, Mode Tech (Beijing) Co., Ltd (“ModeTech”),  is a Chinese business entity. Patent Infringement Suit By Engineered by Schildmeier LLC Commenced Against Wuhu Xuelang Auto Parts Co., Ltd and Amazing Parts Warehouse (Oct. 18, 2018, U.S. District Court for Southern District of Indiana)

In this action, the plaintiff, Engineered By Schildmeier, LLC (“Schildmeier”) is suing the Defendants, Amazing Parts Warehouse (“APW”) and Wuhu Xuelang Auto Parts Co., Ltd (“Wuhu Xuelang”) for the latter’s allegedly “conscious, systematic, and willful pattern of patent infringement”. Corning Inc. (“Corning”), an American glass technology pioneer founded in 1851 that leads innovation in glass science, and has developed the glass for extremely advanced high-tech devices, such as Hubble Space Telescope and U.S. space vehicles. In 2007, Corning developed the first “cover glass” to cover smartphones, called “Gorilla Glass,” which is allegedly durable, lightweight, thin and damage resistant.
